Hello Green Oaks families,

We are very appreciative of your efforts as we continue this week to help our families focus on zoom readiness, materials and Back To School Night for grades 4 and 5. We also want to thank you for remembering to read with your child each day for 30 minutes when possible.

PTA MESSAGE

Welcome back, Green Oaks Beavers! We are so excited to be with you on this adventure of a school year! We know that things look a lot different than normal so far, but your Green Oaks PTA is still here for you! At this time of year, we would normally be meeting in person for Back to School Nights and handing out paper copies of our Welcome Packet. However, because Back to School Nights are digital this year, so is our Welcome Packet, which is attached to this email. Inside, you will find information on what PTA is and how we contribute to the school, how you can become a member, common PTA FAQ's, a PTA meeting calendar, and links to our new website and spirit wear. If you have any questions or are interested in learning how you can help out our school by joining the PTA, please email us at GreenOaksPTA@gmail.com. PS - On a different note, we still have not gotten confirmation of when yearbooks will be in. We have reached out several times to LifeTouch to get updates on our orders, but have been unable to get a decisive answer from them, other than they are backlogged because of COVID19. We promise that we will continue to reach out to the yearbook company, and as soon as we get information, we will let everyone know. We are so sorry for the long delay and appreciate your understanding."

Nutrition Services Meal Information for Distance Learning 2020- Beginning Thursday, August 13, Nutrition Services will be distributing curbside meals at the attached 44 school sites throughout the district. Meal service will be Monday – Friday, from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m., not including holidays and non-instructional days. Meals for same-day consumption will include breakfast and lunch for SJUSD enrolled students. Meals cannot be consumed on site and social distancing protocols must be followed at all times.

Each student, parent or guardian must provide Nutrition Services staff with the student name and district issued ID number. Meals will be charged based on the status of each student; free, reduced-price, or full pay. Meal applications must be completed for the current school year. Applications can be completed online (preferred method) at https://mealapps.sanjuan.edu. Paper applications can be obtained at any meal pickup site and returned to any meal pickup site. Reduced-price and full pay students paying by cash or check: payment must be in a sealed envelope, with the student(s) name and ID number written on top of the envelope. The full amount will be applied to the student account – change will not be given.
