MAKE A DONATION
While we know that events at our school are not required they are what make our school so special. Our philosophy has always been "not to fundraise". What we mean by that is not making the kids go door to door selling wrapping paper and candy. Parents get enough that from other extracurricular activities. We raise money for fun events through our FOGO, Fun Run, and other fun activities the kids love to participate in. We try to make the events fun and engaging for kids and parents alike.
THE DIFFERENT DONATIONS
1. Classroom Donations- These donations are to your child's specific teacher. These donations help them purchase things such as classroom supplies, pay for art projects, and help fund field trips. This a one time donation to the specific class.
2. PTA Membership- A portion of this money is sent in to the national association and in turn you get discounts at local businesses. (please check the National PTA website for a more comprehensive list.) The other portion is used to help run our school PTA.
3. Friends of Green Oaks (FOGO)- This is a donation to our PTA directly any amount is appreciated. This is the money we use to fund things such as school dances, Beaver Buck Store, Reading Rocks Program, school assemblies and more. This is also the money we help support our teachers with so that we don't have to door to door fundraising.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
Feel free to email us or attend a board meeting. We are always looking for people to help us with things as easy as making copies to send home in flyers or as big as running events for the kids and their families to enjoy. Check out our events page to see all the fun happening on campus.

WHEN ARE PTA MEETINGS?
General board meetings are listed on the school calendar. At those meetings we discuss with our parents plans for upcoming events as well as concerns we may need to discuss with our principal.
